Solo Sikoa Thinks He Did A Great Job As Tribal Chief Character

Sikoa also spoke about getting to show more of his personality.

After Roman Reigns went away from WWE TV following his loss at WrestleMania XL, Solo Sikoa assumed the role of the ‘Tribal Chief’ and took over The Bloodline faction.

Sikoa and Reigns’ struggle over who was the real Tribal Chief came to a head at the WWE Raw on Netflix premiere, where Reigns bested Sikoa in a Tribal Combat match. While being interviewed by TV Insider, Sikoa looked back on his time as the Tribal Chief and thinks he did a great job with that character.

“I’m in the deep end. I was thrown into the deep waters where it was like sink or swim. After the first year, I’ve been swimming. I was in the room with Roman Reigns, Paul Heyman and just sitting under that learning tree. Then when it became my time to shine, the company gave me the opportunity with the Tribal Chief character, I made it work the best I could. I think I did a great job.”

Speaking about his current on-screen presentation, Sikoa touched on showing more of his personality and said that is how his family acts off-screen.

“Man, that’s how we act. My brothers and I, when we get a chance to be ourselves, that’s how we really are. Even more so. I try not to give too much out there at once, but little by little, you’re seeing more of that.”

Sikoa is the reigning WWE United States Champion. He’s had two successful title defenses, and his next defense will be against Sami Zayn on the 8/29 Friday Night SmackDown in Décines-Charpieu, France.
