Over the course of the past month, the football world in the UK has heard about the current tension surrounding Newcastle United’s star striker, Alexander Isak and the club. Isak has been trying to force through a transfer to Liverpool, but has been unable to do so as the transfer window ending draws nearer and nearer.
Liverpool fan and WWE superstar JD McDonagh took this opportunity to try garner heat from the crowd while WWE held a live event in Newcastle, England on Sunday. During his match on the show, McDonagh would remove his Judgment Day t-shirt, revealing a Liverpool jersey underneath. McDonagh would then turn around, revealing to the entire crowd that the shirt read ‘Isak 9’ on the back, which led to heavy booing from the audience.
