Swerve Strickland To Undergo Surgery For Torn Meniscus This Week

An update on Swerve Strickland.
Going into AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door, Fightful Select rolled out the news that Swerve Strickland had been dealing with a torn meniscus. The report noted that Strickland’s meniscus has been torn since 2019, and after Forbidden Door, he was expected to take time off.
A new report about Strickland emerged from Bodyslam.net, and the site noted that Strickland is set to undergo surgery this week and Fightful can confirm.

Strickland fell in defeat to Kazuchika Okada in an AEW Unified Championship match at Forbidden Door. After the match, Okada dragged Strickland over to the ring post, trapped his knee in between the post and ring steps, and took a chair to Strickland’s knee.
