Deonna Purrazzo Reflects On Learning From Mickie James During Historic TNA Feud

Deonna Purrazzo reflects on her rivalry in TNA with the legendary “Hardcore Country” Mickie James.

Deonna Purrazzo is no stranger to making history as a woman in wrestling. She participated in the first TNA Knockouts main event of a pay-per-view along with Mickie James. That feud culminated in a Texas Death Match at TNA Hard To Kill 2022.

Speaking with former TNA Knockout SoCal Val in an interview forĀ WrestlingNewsCo, Deonna Purrazzo praised that chapter of her career. She also emphasized how much she had learned from the former WWE Women’s Champion.

“We had so much fun, because I think Mickie is genuinely a trailblazer for women in this industry, and to be able to work with her, you are learning so much, not even just listening to her talk, but being in the ring with her and feeling around with her and telling these stories. The crowd obviously just loves her so much that it made me not even have to try to be a bad guy, because they were instantly like, ‘Oh, we love her, and we don’t like you.'”

Elsewhere in the interview, Deonna spoke about her outlook on the AEW women’s locker room. Read more here.

Tony Khan recently praised Deonna Purrazzo for her positive outlook. Read moreĀ here.
