Kurt Angle And Undertaker Say Owen Hart Was Every Bit As Good As Bret Hart

Kurt Angle and The Undertaker praise the ability of Owen Hart.

The Undertaker and Owen Hart were staples of the WWE’s New Generation era. As a result, they collaborated on numerous occasions. Kurt Angle is from a different era and is more closely associated with WWE after Hart’s tragic passing. Still, Angle wrestled Owen in one of his last matches as he was getting ready to debut on WWE TV.

Speaking on the latest Six Feet Under Podcast, Kurt Angle and Undertaker sang the praises of “The Rocket.” Both even admitted that Owen is just as good as Bret Hart.

Kurt Angle began, “They had me wrestling guys like Owen Hart. I wrestled Owen five days before he died. I wasn’t the last one, because there was a house show the night before the pay-per-view, but I was the Tuesday before the pay-per-view. Man, that kid…”

Undertaker interrupted, “When he wanted to go, he could freaking go. He loved to cut up. But, man, when he’d get the fire under him, he could go.”

Angle added, “I’m going to stick my neck out there, but I think he’s every bit as good as Bret.”

Undertaker, who worked plenty with both Bret Hart and Owen Hart, compared their approaches to the industry, calling Owen a treat and acknowledging his playful nature.

“Bret’s approach was a much more serious approach. Bret envisioned himself as the champion and carried himself in that manner. Owen was obviously providing for his family and loved to cut up. Ge was such a treat. So kind of polar opposites, the personalities there,” said ‘Taker.

Kurt Angle still hopes that one day his dark match with Owen Hart will be available to the public. Learn more about that here.

Elsewhere on the podcast, Kurt Angle and Undertaker spoke about the rumors that Angle was potentially in line to end The Undertaker’s WrestleMania undefeated streak in 2006. Learn more here.
