Bryan Danielson Praises Australian Talent, ‘It’s Not Just AEW, Look How Big Of A Star Rhea Ripley Has Become’
Bryan Danielson praises Australian talent, including Rhea Ripley.
AEW is set to return to Australia in 2025 with two shows in February, including Grand Slam Australia.
Kyle Fletcher and Toni Storm have become two of the top stars in AEW, with Fletcher holding the AEW TNT Championship and Storm holding the AEW Women’s Title.
Speaking to Wrestle Radio Australia, Bryan Danielson praised the Australian talent in AEW, but noted that the other Australian talent are thriving as well.
“It’s not just in AEW. Obviously, I’m here to promote AEW and the shows we have coming forward, but when you look at Rhea Ripley and how big of a star she’s become within WWE, it’s not just an AEW thing. There is clearly something here. It takes time for a system like that to develop, where you realize, ‘Okay, there is something going on there, and now we’re starting to see the fruits of that.’ Then, what does that look like in five to ten years?”
Buddy Matthews is another standout talent from Australia, though he is currently sidelined with an injury.
Elsewhere during the interview, Danielson commented on how he felt watching DEAN~!!!2. You can find his comments here.
