In the hands of other performers, Toni Storm’s ‘Timeless’ character could be one that could easily be rejected by fans of professional wrestling due to it’s utter silliness, however, due to Storm’s performances, it has avoided bombing with AEW fans. That being said, Storm still feels that bombing in the ring is something that still thinks about.

While speaking on the latest episode of The Sandman podcast about the differences between her match with Mariah May and Mercedes Mone earlier this year, Toni spoke about ‘pulling it off’.

“Pulled it off somehow. But you never know. Sometimes you’ll absolutely shit in the bed. You just can- you never know. Oh, it’s always totally random for me and I don’t know. Some of it’s just like great. Some of it’s like the worst.”

Toni was then asked what match she was specifically thinking of when she noted that, stating that she’s sometimes felt like she should pay the fans back their money after poor performances.

“Oh, there’s been so many. The worst? Oh, I can’t even go there. There’s just been so much. That’s part of the business. There’s so much garbage. I’ve been on shows where I’m like, this is so embarrassing. I feel like I should pay the fans back their money.”

When it was mentioned to Storm that sometimes wrestling is like comedy and sometimes you bomb, Toni noted it was 50-50 and that she goes into it like Evel Knievel.

“50-50. I go into it like, I’m like Evel Knievel. I’m not paid. I’m just paid for the attempt.”

Elsewhere in the same interview, Storm discussed how she plans to be an AEW lifer. You can read more about that here.
