WWE Raw In Springfield, Massachusetts Generates $1.1 Million In Economic Income In One Day

It was the highest single-day event impact in the arena’s history.
On September 15th, WWE’s Monday Night Raw show took place at the MassMutual Center in Springfield, Massachusetts. On the promotional marquee going into the show was John Cena, who hails from West Newbury, Massachusetts. Cena graduated from Springfield College.

This week’s WWE Monday Night Raw broke records for the MassMutual Center in Springfield.
The event, which was also streamed live on Netflix, generated an estimated $1.1 million in total economic impact, which MassMutual Center officials said was the highest single-day event impact in the arena’s history as fans filled hotels, restaurants, and local businesses. In addition, it was the arena’s highest grossing day ever as they also saw the highest amount of food, beverage, and merchandise sales.
“From the electric atmosphere in the arena to the excitement across downtown, the event showcased the power of live entertainment to bring people together and shine a global spotlight on Springfield,” said MassMutual Center General Manager Sean Dolan in a statement.
Monday’s event also marked one of the highest attended events in the arena’s history.
In addition to the events that took place inside the building, the excitement also continued outside with the Springfield Slam Jam, which marked the first event at The Landing Plaza.
The likes of AJ Lee, CM Punk, Seth Rollins, Becky Lynch, and more were featured on that episode of Raw.
