Oba Femi Tries Not To Let It Get To His Head When People Describe Him As Future WrestleMania Main Eventer

Femi tries to remain grounded.
There has been a good deal of praise thrown in the direction of the reigning NXT Champion, Oba Femi. That praise has come from fans and his colleagues in WWE, who have described him as someone they could see main eventing a WrestleMania.
Femi was interviewed by Good Karma Wrestling and was asked how he feels when people describe him as a future WrestleMania main eventer, and here’s how he responded:
“I try not to let it get to my head, because you’re never as good as you think you are. You’re never as good as they say you are. You’re never as bad as you think you are so you always have to find that balance, and amen, one day, hopefully, it will happen, but, I try not to dwell on that because sometimes when you tunnel vision, you forget to experience the journey.”
Femi has been reigning as NXT Champion since January 2025. He’s had nine defenses of the belt, and his next one is taking place on the 9/23 NXT on The CW. He’ll be in a double title match against TNA World Champion Trick Williams.
