Joe Gacy And Javier Bernal Make Horror Movie ‘Puppet’; First Trailer Drops
Current WWE Tag Team Champion Joe Gacy and former NXT star Javier Bernal star in Puppet, a DIY horror film that appears to be about a ventriloquist dummy and one man’s psychotic break.
Current WWE Tag Team Champion Joe Gacy and former WWE NXT Superstar Javier Bernal are featured in a trailer for an upcoming film titled “Puppet.” The X account for Living Dead Films, a production company run by Joe Gacy, whose real name is Joe Ruby, posted the trailer for the horror film, which involves a ventriloquist dummy. The amount of violence tied to the puppet’s control of Gacy’s character makes Batman’s Scarface look tame.
The account also notes that production began on February 25 of this year and wrapped on April 13. The film is scheduled for release in 2025, but a specific release date has not been announced.
Bernal, who WWE released in May 2025, said that this is his horror film debut.

The account for the production company was dormant from December 2022 until production began on the Puppet film in February. Joe Gacy began wrestling on WWE television in July 2021. He is currently part of a WWE faction straight out of a horror film, the Wyatt Sicks.
