Kris Statlander comments on her AEW Women’s World Title win.
At AEW All Out on September 20th, Kris Statlander was one of three women who challenged Toni Storm for the AEW Women’s World Championship at the event. In a surprising result, Statlander would use the seat belt pin to steal the AEW Women’s World Title from under ‘Timeless’ Toni Storm’s nose.
While speaking in a new digital exclusive posted to AEW’s social media, Statlander reacted to her win, admitting that she didn’t expect to capture the championship so soon.
“I mean, I never thought, well, not that I never thought I’d say that. I just didn’t expect it to happen so soon. But I can finally say that Kris Statlander is the AEW Women’s World Champion, and not only that, I am the only person ever to have ever been the TBS Champion and the AEW Women’s World Champion. I mean, you wait so long for an opportunity like this. You train so hard, harder than anyone. You listen to the right people, you go down the path you should have always been going down, you realize and then all of a sudden you’re back at the top and you’re on a list of elite people. So if Toni Storm, or if any of you watching this want a shot at this, you give Stat Daddy a call.”
