At WWE Wrestlepalooza on September 20th, Lee would return to the ring for the first time in over a decade to team with her husband CM Punk against fellow husband and wife duo Seth Rollins and Becky Lynch at the event, scoring a victory by forcing Becky to submit. Now, AJ has taken to social media to thank her fans, her opponents her ‘hot husband’ and more.
In a new social media post on Monday, AJ Lee would reflect on her WWE return to the ring at WWE Wrestlepalooza, noting that she guesses she ‘still got it’.
“A chaotic fairytale so far. I’m proud of myself for being scared but doing it anyway, after ten years of retirement, on one month’s notice. I guess I still got it. I’m so grateful to Rebecca, Colby, Jess, TJ, and my hot husband Phil for taking such good care of me. And Larry for sharing his dressing room. I’m feeling all the love and support from you guys, my wonderful weirdos, it means the world.”
