Trick Williams: “I’ve Been Ready To Make That Jump To The Red Or Blue Brand For A Long Time”

Williams feels he’s ready for the next stage of his WWE career.

NXT’s Trick Williams is the reigning TNA World Champion. Williams has had his brushes with the WWE main roster and main roster talent over the last several years.

While appearing on Booker T and Brad Gilmore’s Hall of Fame podcast, Williams expressed that he’s ready to make the leap to the main roster. He said the following when asked what his timeline is for a main roster call-up:

“Yesterday couldn’t have been soon enough, man. I’ve been ready to make that jump to the red or blue brand for a long time. I feel like it’s that time, I feel like it’s been that time. I feel like people wanna see that. But, as for now, wherever I am, I’m just gonna make sure it’s the hottest show.”

On the 9/23 NXT on The CW, Williams and NXT Champion Oba Femi were competing in a double title match. Williams got into a scuffle with TNA’s Mike Santana, who was on commentary, and it led to multiple TNA wrestlers brawling with NXT wrestlers in the ring and near the ringside area.
