The Miz Recalls Career-Defining Advice From Billy Kidman At The Playboy Mansion
The Miz reveals that the best advice he was ever given as an aspiring WWE Superstar came from Billy Kidman while at the Playboy Mansion.
The Miz first appeared on WWE TV over 20 years ago. He was a part of the WWE Tough Enough season that was exclusive to WWE SmackDown in 2004. While Daniel Puder won that competition, Miz stuck with it, and two decades later, Miz has accomplished almost everything there is to achieve in WWE.
As it turns out, “stick with it” was advice given to him by Billy Kidman at the Playboy Mansion. Miz recently explained to The Schmo that, although he didn’t understand it at the time, he now views it as the best advice he has ever received.
“Best advice I’ve ever got was from Billy Kidman at the Playboy Mansion. I was trying to become a WWE Superstar, and I got invited to the Playboy Mansion, which was pretty sick. So I walk in as a 20-year-old, probably 22, and walk up to him and said, ‘Hey, man, do you have any advice?’ He’s like, ‘Stick with it.’ I was just like, ‘Wait, what? That’s it, stick with it?’
“Now, looking back on that advice, so many people find so many excuses to not do what they ever dreamed of. There’s so many times, ‘Oh, my girlfriend doesn’t like it. My boyfriend doesn’t like it. My family doesn’t like it. I have to work.’ There’s so many excuses that can take you away from your dream. If you stick with it, then you can figure out if the dream is supposed to happen or not.”
The Miz’s career accolades even surpassed those of Billy Kidman. Miz even got to headline WrestleMania with John Cena in 2011.
With only five appearances left in John Cena’s career, Miz is upset that he may not be one of those final matches. Read more about that here.
