Kicking off the in-ring action at WWE’s NXT No Mercy Premium Live Event was a singles bout between Je’Von Evans and Josh Briggs. The two have been at odds, and their feud came to a head at the PLE.

The backend of the bout saw Briggs lift Evans for a chokeslam, but Evans countered into a cutter. Evans then jetted to the ropes for his springboard cutter, which secured him the win over Briggs.

Evans has been in the headlines over the last 24 hours. He answered Sami Zayn’s United States Title open challenge on SmackDown in Orlando, was revealed as the challenger to Leon Slater’s X Division Championship at TNA Bound For Glory, and he’s now picked up a win over Josh Briggs at No Mercy.
