Ricky Saints Def. Oba Femi To Become NXT Champion At WWE NXT No Mercy

Oba Femi’s reign is over.

Headlining the WWE NXT No Mercy Premium Live Event was the NXT Championship match that saw the champion Oba Femi defend against Ricky Saints.

It was a back-and-forth match, but the turning point was when Femi had Saints hoisted up on an announce table. Saints countered and spiked Femi head-first on the table. He then proceeded to give Femi a tornado DDT on the floor.

Femi regained control when they got in the ring, but Saints ended up reversing a pop-up powerbomb into a spike DDT. Saints went on to launch himself off the ropes to give Femi another DDT. That final one put Femi down and got Saints the win and the NXT Championship.

Femi’s title reign clocked out at 264 days. He is advertised for the NXT-TNA Invasion special on October 7th. He’ll be challenging Trick Williams for the TNA World Championship.

The title win is Ricky Saints’ second since arriving in NXT in February. He’s also held the North American Title.
