The Midwest-based independent promotion addressed their future in a lengthy statement on social media, revealing that they will be closing their doors in early 2026. The company noted that behind-the-scenes people are dealing with medical issues, prompting the cancellation of their Chicago event on October 11.
After their Florida event on November 22, Ruthless Pro Wrestling will say goodbye with a final event in early 2026.
Ruthless Pro Wrestling to Close Its Doors in Early 2026
Since 2020, Ruthless Pro Wrestling (RPW) has proudly stood as one of the Midwest’s most beloved platforms for deathmatch wrestling. Over the past five years, RPW has been home to unforgettable moments, unforgettable matches, and a stage for both established stars and the rising talents of tomorrow.
Today, we share news that comes with both pride and sadness: Ruthless Pro Wrestling will officially close its doors in early 2026. While our mission has always been to provide professional wrestling unlike any other, we believe it is important to end our story with respect for the fans, wrestlers, and community who have embraced us since day one.
Our scheduled event in Berwyn, Illinois on October 11th will be postponed due to medical issues that are facing some of the people behind the scenes of RPW. We will have our final show in early 2026 with a date announcing very soon featuring talents from our storied career plus big surprises. Tickets purchased for the original date WILL BE HONORED at the final show.
Before we say goodbye, RPW will continue to bring fans the experiences they’ve come to expect. Our Riverview, Florida event, “Gator Scum”, is set for November 22nd and will move forward as planned. Tickets are still on sale now.
To every fan who has cheered in the crowd, every wrestler who has stepped through our doors, and every supporter who has helped build RPW into what it has become—thank you. Whether you discovered us years ago or just recently, your energy and passion have meant everything to us.
