Ace Austin looks back on the day of his debut match in All Elite Wrestling.
On the August 16th edition of AEW Collision, Ace would make his All Elite Wrestling debut in a singles match with Ricochet and while he would come up short in the bout, he would earn an All Elite Wrestling contract.
While speaking on the latest edition of Hey! (EW), Austin was asked if he found it ‘easy’ to earn an All Elite graphic by RJ City.
“I don’t want to say yes, because I’ve seen a lot of people work really hard and not get hired here.”
When RJ jokingly asked if Ace asked for the graphic, Austin noted that he didn’t before explaining he was pulled in a ‘thousand directions’ on the day of his AEW debut.
“No, when I showed up that, well, okay, so I did the promo Wednesday, and then when I showed up Thursday, I got pulled in a thousand directions. We need promo pictures for the graphic. We need your entrance music. We got to go over your entrance.”
Elsewhere in the same appearance on Hey! (EW), Ace spoke about his earliest memories of the pro wrestling industry, going back to when he was four years old. You can read more about that here.
Elsewhere in another interview with Austin, he recalled attending a training session with The Wild Samoans along with his grandmother. You can read more about that here.
