DarkState Crashes X Division Title Match Between Leon Slater & Je’Von Evans At TNA Bound For Glory
DarkState crashed the party.
In what was described by TNA Wrestling commentators Tom Hannifan and Matthew Rehwoldt as a ‘dream match,’ NXT’s Je’Von Evans challenged Leon Slater for the X Division Championship.
The match initially resulted in a 20-minute time limit draw, but the crowd began chanting, ‘Let them fight’ and ‘bullsh*t.’
Out came TNA Director of Authority Santino Marella, and he put five more minutes on the clock. After a Spanish Fly from Evans to Slater, the lights in the arena went out, and showing up was NXT’s DarkState faction.
Dion Lennox, Osiris Griffin, Saquon Shugars, and Cutler James jetted to the ring and attacked both Slater and Evans. It was at NXT vs. TNA Showdown that Lennox and Griffin lost the NXT Tag Team Championship to The Hardys (Matt Hardy & Jeff Hardy).
