Syuri Def. Sareee To Become Two-Time IWGP Women’s Champion At NJPW King Of Pro-Wrestling

Sareee’s reign comes to an end.

The opening match of NJPW’s King of Pro-Wrestling event at Ryƍgoku Sumo Hall was Sareee defending the IWGP Women’s Championship against Syuri. Before King of Pro-Wrestling, Sareee was in North America competing for Ring of Honor and defended the title against Alex Windsor at an ROH on HonorClub taping.

The crowd at King of Pro-Wrestling booed Sareee because of comments she’s made in which she questioned the talent level at some of the promotions she’s worked with. King of Pro-Wrestling was the first time the IWGP Women’s Title had been defended at an NJPW show since Wrestle Kingdom 19 in January 2025, where Mayu Iwatani defended the belt against AZM.

Syuri went on to defeat Sareee with the ‘Syu-Sekai,’ which is similar to Kenny Omega’s One Winged Angel. Syuri is now a two-time IWGP Women’s Champion.

Her first reign was for 55 days before she lost the belt to Sareee. Post-match, Syuri embraced her opponent and they shook hands.
