Jamie Hayter Calls Piper Niven, Toni Storm, And Alba Fyre Huge Positive Influences From Her Time In UK Wrestling Scene

Jamie Hayter praises Piper Niven and Alba Fyre as positive influences for her in the UK wrestling scene.

Over the past 10 years, the United Kingdom has been a hub for professional wrestling, producing many of the top stars in the industry today. Not only top men’s wrestlers like Will Ospreay and Zack Sabre Jr., but also prominent women such as Toni Storm, Piper Niven, Alba Fyre, Bea Priestley, and others.

In a recent interview with Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful, Jamie Hayter named Niven and Fyre as two of her main positive influences while she was coming up through the UK independent circuit.

“The UK was so and still is, to be fair, because there’s so much talent over there, so many talented women in the UK. When I was wrestling in the UK, it was amazing to be around people who, at the time, they had way more experience than me and did way more shows and traveled and this, that and the other. Piper Niven, when she was in the UK, Alba Fyre; I loved going to Pro Wrestling EVE specifically to be around those two, because they would be at all the shows all the time. It was great just to be around them and learn from them. They would give you confidence and make you feel good. Those two, I think they stick out most in my mind because they’re just both incredible women. I think they always have been, always will be.

Those two, definitely, in the UK scene. Obviously, Toni Storm was over there as well, so she’s incredible. So you were kind of spoiled for choice, really, to choose what women you were working with, because there were talented ones at the time, but yeah, those three definitely stick out in my mind a lot, just because they were, at the time, such big names. I was just like, ‘Wow,’ whenever I’d get to work or be on a show with them.”

Piper Niven and Alba Fyre are currently paired together in WWE. Niven is out with an injury for an undisclosed amount of time.
