Earlier this year at AEW Double Or Nothing, Jamie Hayter and Mone would meet in a singles match in the finals of the AEW Owen Hart tournament, with the winner advancing to All In to challenge for the AEW Women’s World Title. Mone would come away with the victory, leaving Hayter to turn around what has been a tough year for Hayter since making her in ring return at AEW All In last year.
While speaking to The Wrestling Classic in a new interview, Jamie Hayter noted that she would ‘never say no’ to a rematch with Mone.
“So I feel like not just myself, but there’ll be plenty of women who are like, ‘I want to have a round two.’ Like I want to want to go for it again. I obviously would never say no. I feel like my match with Mercedes, I absolutely learned a lot. That was, that was a very enjoyable experience. I was so, again, so unconfident going into that match because when you step up with someone like Mercedes, you’re just like, ‘Oh my God,’ it’s a bit intimidating to be honest, because she knows way more than I know. She just really is fantastic. So, yeah, I would feel a little bit more confident going into the match this time if we were to have a second go around. I feel like maybe I would have a bit more knowledge of what could get the job done, you know?”
