KC Navarro Says Killer Kross Helped Get Him 2022 WWE Tryout

KC Navarro established himself as one of the top names on the independent scene before signing with TNA in 2024.

Speaking on One Big Work, Navarro reflected on his journey, and explained how Killer Kross helped him.

“I remember when I met him for the first time, I was very intimidated. It was 2019, I was 19-20 years old, and he was just getting ready to go to NXT. One thing about him is, as big of a guy as he is, he’s a sweet guy and cares about the next generation. When I was very unhappy where I was signed to in 2021, I felt like I was not being treated right, and the way I was talked to, I was really hurt. I was put into predicaments where I wasn’t comfortable. I remember telling Kross, this was right around the time he returned to WWE. He looked at me and goes, ‘Do you want it that bad?’ I go, ‘Yeah.’ He told me, ‘I’m going to help you in whatever way I can.’ The biggest thing is in this business is, when you get to a certain point, it’s giving back to the next generation. I take that and hold it near and dear to me. I know, at some point, I’m going to be in that position where I have to give back to somebody and help them get to where I’m at. A lot of people don’t know this, but in 2022 I had a private tryout with WWE, and I got that because Kross believed in me. He went right to the top and he told them, ‘We need this guy.’ I got flown out, and unfortunately, things didn’t work out, but now I’m with TNA, who is working with NXT, and they knew who I was already because of what Kross did to get me in front of them the first time. I owe Kross a lot. If Kross didn’t do that, I wouldn’t be where I’m at today,” he said.

Navarro is currently sidelined with a torn ACL. He underwent surgery in August.
