Natalya Clarifies She Made No Demands Towards WWE About Her Book As Part Of Her Re-Signing
Natalya re-signed with WWE in 2024, keeping her in the promotion that she’s been part of since 2007.
With her storied career in WWE, and growing up in wrestling as the daughter of Jim Neidhart, Natalya put a different kind of pen to paper, writing her autobiography ‘The Last Hart Beating: From the Dungeon to WWE.’
Natalya previously stated that WWE was supportive of her writing the book, and she wanted to make sure she got their blessing on it. That got twisted into people believing Natalya wouldn’t re-sign with WWE unless they supported her book.
Speaking to Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp, Natalya clarified what actually happened.
“I saw something the other day. The things I get tagged in on Twitter and Instagram, I saw something the other day was like, Natalya made these demands that she had to have this in order to—I was like, ‘No, no, no, no. There was no demands.’ It was just a conversation,” she said.
Natalya continued, “The big thing for me with re-signing my new deal is that it sparked all these new things that I wanted to do. I said to my husband, I said to TJ [TJ Wilson], said, ‘I don’t want to continue if I can’t grow.’ A new contract for me, I wanted to find something I felt was fair, but I also was like, ‘I gotta be able to do these other projects in order to continue doing this.’ There are several other projects I’m working on right now, but the book was something that had been pulling at my heart for a long time. I was like, ‘Nattie, take the plunge, do something that is speaking to your heart.’ I went to WWE, I told them, ‘Listen, this is something that’s really important for me. I wanna write uh my book.’ They were extremely supportive.
“They actually have been so supportive throughout the entire process. They helped me with photos. They’re helping me with my book tour. They’ve been like above and beyond supportive and it just means the world because it just solidifies—it’s a collaborative experience to be able to share my journey across two decades with my life growing up in the Hart family, the ups and downs of my childhood and of course, 20 years of working in WWE uninterrupted. Then to have the company that I work for being so supportive, it really means everything to me.”
‘The Last Beating Hart’ will be released on Tuesday, October 28.
Natalya is set for a book tour ahead of its release. Fans can learn more here.
