16-Man Tournament Announced To Determine John Cena’s Final Opponent; Tourney Field To Include Raw, SmackDown, NXT & ‘Maybe’ Non-WWE Talent

The road is paved to determine John Cena’s final opponent.

John Cena’s 26-year pro wrestling career is concluding on December 13th at WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event, where he will have his final match.

His retirement tour began in January 2025, and the road to determine Cena’s final opponent has been paved. A video package centered around Cena aired during Saturday Night’s Main Event on 11/1, and he stated that he wants his final opponent to be whoever is ready to step up and seize the opportunity like he did when he was given his first shot.

There is going to be a 16-man tournament to determine his final opponent. It will start on the November 10th Monday Night Raw in Cena’s hometown of Boston, Massachusetts.

Cena stated that talents from Monday Night Raw, Friday Night SmackDown, and NXT will be involved, and ‘maybe’ there will be talent included who do not work at WWE.
