Cody Rhodes Confirms Seth Rollins Injured Shoulder In Their Match At WWE Crown Jewel, Says Rollins Has Undergone Surgery
Rhodes chats his history with Seth Rollins.
As a result of Seth Rollins going down with a shoulder injury, he had to relinquish the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. Rollins’ last match before stepping away was against Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes at WWE’s Crown Jewel Premium Live Event. They competed for the men’s Crown Jewel Championship.
While appearing on ALL THE SMOKE, Rhodes confirmed that Rollins suffered the injury during their latest bout and that Rollins has since undergone surgery.
He joked that him and Rollins never need to wrestle each other again because of the injuries that have happened either leading up to their one-on-one matches or during the matches.
“Seth Rollins and I recently wrestled at Crown Jewel and Seth finally beat me. I’d beat him three times before. Nobody had sweeped him like that. But he tore his — I don’t know — I wanna say his rotator cuff. We don’t have an actual answer… But Seth I know has gone under the knife and got surgery so, at this point, real, not real, however you look at the industry, him and I aren’t good for each other. We don’t need to wrestle ever again. He’s lost a shoulder. That was the first major injury I ever had. But, I was glad to be in the ring with him that night. It was special.”
Rollins is a co-host of Good Morning Football on the NFL Network. He said on the show that he’ll be out of action for six months.
