Cody Rhodes: ‘We’ve Just Scratched The Surface’ On The Rock’s Final Boss Character

The Rock’s name came up during the media appearance.

As Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes was chatting with NBA Champion Matt Barnes on ALL THE SMOKE, he was asked to name his pro wrestling Mount Rushmore.

Rhodes put Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson on his list. He then began speaking about Johnson’s ‘Final Boss’ character that he introduced on WWE television. Rhodes feels they’ve just scratched the surface with that character.

“I think The Rock is on there, Mount Rushmore-wise. He came back to a very tumultuous WWE, a year or so ago, and decided, nope, I’m not gonna deal with that. I’m instead gonna create a new character even though I’m already one of the greatest characters ever, that being The Final Boss… We’ve just scratched the surface on The Final Boss. There’s something incredibly special there so The Rock is on my Mount Rushmore.”

After The Rock was involved in John Cena’s heel turn and the ambush of Cody Rhodes at WWE Elimination Chamber, he disappeared from WWE programming. The Rock explained why he opted to bow out from that point. To read his comments, click here.
