Ridge Holland: I Knew The Writing Was On The Wall At WWE When I Got Taken Off TV & Put On EVOLVE
Holland looks back at the backend of his run.
After seven years with WWE, Ridge Holland’s contract was not renewed. Holland, real name Luke Menzies, looked back at the backend of his time with the company while guest appearing on TMZ’s Inside The Ring podcast.
He stated that he knew the writing was on the wall for him at WWE when he was taken off NXT television and sent to EVOLVE.
“I kind of knew the writing was on the wall when I got taken off TV and put on EVOLVE. I’m not silly. I can read the room. So there’s a stress that comes with that…”
WWE terminated Menzies’ contract early after he posted a statement that could be viewed as disparaging the company, which is a violation of the contract he signed. He posted about being cut while he’s recovering from surgery and possibly not being able to pay his mortgage.
