Foley has played a litany of characters during his professional wrestling career, but one catchphrase that he has used throughout his career is that of ‘Have A Nice Day!’ Now, Foley has revealed the origin of his iconic catchphrase.

While speaking to Insight With Chris Van Vliet, Mick Foley was asked about the origin of the catchphrase, with Mick sharing that it was a throwaway line from Jim Ross.

“I mean, that was just a throwaway. Jim Ross told me, you know, do your promo and just have a nice day. We might want to edit that in case Jim wants a piece of that marketing pie.”
