Priscilla Kelly Recalls Facing Chelsea Green, Says She Told Her That ‘We’re Gonna Wrestle The Way You Want To Wrestle’
Priscilla Kelly has high praise for Chelsea Green.
On January 22, 2024, Kelly had her second match on Main Event, taping a match with Chelsea Green before an episode of WWE Raw in New Orleans. The match went on to air on the January 25, 2024 episode of Main Event.
Speaking with Denise Salcedo for a new interview, Kelly recalled Green being supportive of her wrestling style at a time when others were not.
“I had a match with Chelsea Green. Chelsea, who I’ve known forever — I’m kind of a little reserved at this point because in WWE, sometimes they’re very restrictive on what they’ll let you do. A lot of times, either girls wouldn’t want to take my Germans and my moves the way I like to do them or producers wouldn’t let me do my moves and my matches they way I wanted to do them. So when I went up and had the match with Chelsea, Chelsea was like, ‘No. I know how you wrestle, you’re going to be Priscilla Kelly today and we’re gonna go out there and have a good match. We’re going to wrestle the way you wrestle.’ She just gave me one of my [more fun] matches in my time in WWE because it felt like I could relax, it felt like I could be myself, I could wrestle my style. She’s just so amazing to work with and she makes you look like a million bucks when you’re out there. She’s fun and she’s really the breath of fresh air I needed. I feel like after that, that’s when I started to feel like, ‘Okay, I know who I am again, I’m feeling great.’”
