Brodido Saves Ricky Steamboat From An Attack By FTR On AEW Dynamite

Ricky Steamboat returned to Greensboro on AEW Dynamite, and ran into a different FTR than he may have remembered.

Steamboat was introduced by Tony Schiavone, and was well-received by the crowd in Greensboro. Steamboat pointed out a Greensboro Mount Rushmore sign that featured him, Ric Flair, Dusty Rhodes, and Sting.

FTR (Dax Harwood & Cash Wheeler) & Stokely Hathaway interrupted, and Stokely introduced himself. Stokely said he wanted his favorite wrestler to be ringside at AEW Full Gear, and wondered if Steamboat had Macho Man’s number.

Cash noted that they were handpicked to be part of Steamboat’s retirement match because he knew that they could make him look as good as possible in his last match. Dax said that Steamboat trained him, but he couldn’t remember what he was taught, until mentioning that Steamboat and Flair taught him to save money. “If you and Ric took that advice, you wouldn’t be here.”

Dax said he was a bigger star than Steamboat ever was and told Steamboat to get out of the ring. Steamboat said he would be the smarter man, and tried to leave, but FTR attacked him. Brodido (Bandido & Brody King) made the save for Steamboat.
