AJ Styles On His ‘Somebody Doesn’t Want Me Here’ Promo: I Was Trying To Set Up Something, I Don’t Think It’s Going To Happen

AJ Styles explains that promo.
On the September 8 edition of WWE Raw, AJ Styles cut a mysterious promo during the Netflix ad break, claiming that somebody doesn’t want him to be in the company anymore. The segment was never followed up on, as Styles won the WWE World Tag Team Championships with Dragon Lee just a month later.
Speaking with the No Contest Wrestling Podcast for a new interview, Styles explained that he was trying to set up a storyline that he doesn’t think is going to happen.
“It was something I was trying to set up that I don’t think is going to happen. It’s not necessarily not true, but I’m not talking about Triple H. Let’s clear that up. But yeah, that’s all I can say about it.”
Elsewhere in the interview, Styles explained why he doesn’t think he’ll get to wrestle Mike Santana in TNA. Check out his full comments by clicking here.
