AJ Styles Would Love To Face CM Punk In A Singles Match, ‘I Think It’d Be A Lot Of Fun’

AJ Styles would love to face CM Punk.
‘The Phenomenal One’ and the ‘Best In The World’ currently both reside on the Raw brand, leaving many fans to believe that they could face off in the future. After winning the World Heavyweight Championship at Saturday Night’s Main Event, CM Punk mentioned AJ Styles as a name that he wants to face during his title reign.
Speaking with the No Contest Wrestling Podcast for a new interview, Styles talked about facing Punk before he retires at some point in 2026.
“I would love to work Punk. I think it’d be great. Our style is very much the same. We wrestled each other 20 years ago and to be able to throw it back, to be able to do it again in a one-on-one match, I think it’d be a lot of fun. I don’t know if it’s gonna happen because we don’t write the stuff, but if it’s there, it’s there. If it isn’t, it isn’t. Like you said, I could ride off into the sunset and be okay with it.”
Punk and Styles shared the ring in a triple threat match with El Grande Americano earlier this year.
Elsewhere in the interview, Styles commented on his ‘somebody doesn’t want me here’ promo. Check out his full comments here.
