Matt Cardona Addresses If He’ll Be In WWE’s John Cena ‘Last Time Is Now’ Tournament

Cardona addresses the speculation.

On December 13th at WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event, John Cena will compete in his final match. To determine his last opponent, a tournament is ongoing titled ‘Last Time is Now.’

Cena stated in a hype video for the tournament that there would maybe be talents involved who do not work for WWE. Coming up on the 11/14 SmackDown and the 11/17 Raw, Solo Sikoa and L.A. Knight will respectively compete in tournament matches against opponents that will be revealed at match time.

On the newest episode of Notsam Wrestling, Matt Cardona addressed the speculation that he’ll be in the tournament.

“What does my entrance music say? What does my gear say? What does my butt say when you read my trunks?… It says ‘Alwayz Ready.’ So I’ve made a career out of being always ready, and I’ve said it for years, if the phone rings, I’ll have a conversation… Listen, this is an opportunity — an ultimate opportunity for anybody. So, who could it be?”

Cena said Cardona’s name on WWE television over the summer while delivering his rendition of the ‘Pipe Bomb.’

Cardona has appeared on NXT TV during the NXT-TNA partnership. He competed against Josh Briggs on the 10/14 edition of the program.
