Frankie Kazarian Defeats Mike Santana To Become TNA World Champion

There is a new TNA World Champion.
The TNA World Championship main event bout between Ryan Nemeth and champion Mike Santana went belly up when cameras cut backstage to Call Your Shot Gauntlet co-winner Nic Nemeth showing up with the trophy. As Nemeth was presumably making his way to the ring, he was ambushed by a hooded individual.
Back in the ring, WWE NXT’s Robert Stone, Brooks Jensen, Lexis King, Channing ‘Stacks’ Lorenzo, Tyson Dupont, Tyriek Igwe, and Charlie Dempsey showed up and attacked Santana and Ryan.
Brooks Jensen placed a chair on Santana’s arm, and Stone stomped on it. After the damage was done, the other half of the Call Your Shot Gauntlet trophy winner, Frankie Kazarian, showed up to execute his title shot opportunity. Kazarian went on to defeat Santana to become the new TNA World Champion.
Santana was only in possession of the TNA World Title for one month. He defeated Trick Williams at Bound For Glory to become champion.
The 11/13 TNA iMPACT was the first slate of new in-ring content for the promotion since Bound For Glory, and on Santana’s first night on a TNA show since becoming champion, he lost the title.
There is a tag match advertised for TNA Turning Point on 11/14 that’ll feature Mike Santana and TNA International Champion Steve Maclin versus Nic Nemeth and the new TNA World Champion Frankie Kazarian.
