New NJPW STRONG Openweight Tag Team Champions Crowned At 11/14 CMLL Event

CMLL talent wins NJPW titles.

Arena México was host to CMLL’s November 14th event. One of the matches on the billing was an NJPW STRONG Openweight Tag Team Title defense.

Going into the match, TJP and Templario had been in possession of the belts since they won them at NJPW Resurgence in May 2025. At the CMLL show, they defended against Ángel de Oro and Niebla Roja.

TJP and Templario’s title reign came to an end as new STRONG Tag Team Champions were crowned. The United Empire members had three defenses of the titles, and all three took place in CMLL.

The STRONG brand is New Japan’s USA branch, and the next NJPW show in the USA is The New Beginning on February 27th in Trenton, New Jersey. It is not being branded as a ‘STRONG’ event.
