Kyle Fletcher considers the possibility of Mark Briscoe having to join the Don Callis Family.
At AEW Full Gear this Saturday, Fletcher and Briscoe will face off one on one with the TNT Championship on the line. In addition to the championship being on the line, if Briscoe loses, he will be forced to join The Don Callis Family.
While speaking to TMZ Sports in a new interview, Kyle Fletcher was asked about the stipulation.
“I think it remains to be seen. So when Don spoke to me about it, his thought process was like, he didn’t want like- there needed to be some kind of stipulation for us. Like we’re not just giving away title shots and after I’ve already beaten him at the last pay-per-view at WrestleDream. It’s like he had his chance, he lost. Okay, if you want another shot, you got to give us something. So his thought process was, didn’t want him to retire, didn’t want him to do any of this other stuff because he is like a very good competitor, a relentless competitor in the ring. He saw that as someone, if he could get him under the family banner and win, working well amongst the rest of us, that could be a valuable asset to us. So I totally agree with that. I think it depends. Obviously, if he loses, he has to join. But will he be reluctant? Will he look forward to the opportunity? Will he change his ways? I think it is an interesting thing that will unfold either way.”
Fletcher was also asked how he will treat Briscoe if he does defeat him at the pay-per-view this weekend.
“I will give him the chance to show what kind of man he is, and after he shows his true colors, I will make my decision.”
