NEVER Openweight 6-Man Tag Title Defense Set For NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 20

A new title match is added to the mix.
New Japan Pro-Wrestling kicked off the 2025 installment of its World Tag League tournament on November 20th.
Before the show started, one-third of the NEVER Openweight 6-Man Tag Team Champions, YOH, showed up to the ring and staged a sit-in. He expressed that he would not be leaving until it is made official that he, Master Wato, and Toru Yano have a title defense at Wrestle Kingdom 20 on January 4th, 2026.
YOH rejected multiple requests to leave the ring, including being forcibly removed by Young Lions, only to make his way back.
YOH eventually caved, but made his way back to the ring to resume the sit-in after the World Tag League event wrapped. NJPW Chairman Naoki Sugabayashi came out and granted YOH’s request, but their opponents are not known.
