FTR: Just Like Big Stoke Is The Songbird Of His Generation, We Are The Tag Team Of Ours

FTR discuss their tag team and alliance with Stokely Hathaway following a big win at AEW Full Gear.

At AEW Full Gear on November 22nd, FTR (Cash Wheeler and Dax Harwood) would face off with defending champions Brodido. In a surprise to some, the team backed by Stokely Hathaway would walk away with the AEW World Tag Team Titles for his third reign.

While speaking in a digital exclusive posted the morning after Full Gear, FTR would discuss their victory.

Cash Wheeler: “Just like Big Stoke here is the songbird of his generation, we are the tag team of ours. We have been a tag team since 2014. We’ve been doing this for over 20 years. We are undisputedly the absolute best tag team that’s ever walked this planet.”

Dax Harwood: “The fact is, this might have started back in April. But if you think about it, if we think about it, this actually started back at the end of 2019. This has been on the works for a long time coming, and now it finally happened. Look, when it happens, this happens. We become three time AEW World Tag Team Champions, only the second time in company history for a tag team to become three-time AEW Tag Team Champions, and on top of that, we are now in the record books, 11-time World Tag Team Champions. You can go through the list of tag teams, all the greatest tag teams of all time. You can go through the list of all your Mount Rushmore’s. I don’t care who you put on it from Legion of Doom to Arn and Tully to the Rock and Roll Express and the Midnight Express. You are now looking at the absolute best tag team on the planet. The only tag team that have won seven different world titles so excuse me, 11 different world titles across seven different promotions. No one else has done that worldwide. We are the best, and now the best deserves the best tequila.”

Elsewhere in another digital exclusive, Jon Moxley would also comment on his loss to Kyle O’Reilly. You can read more about that here.
