Maxxine Dupri shares advice given to her by Hurricane Helms.
Dupri has steadily become a staple of WWE’s main roster women’s division over the course of the past year, with her abilities improving in front of fan’s eyes by the appearance. With the advancements in her development, Maxxine has been put in steadily higher positions until most recently she became the WWE Women’s Intercontinental Champion by defeating Becky Lynch thanks to an assist from AJ Lee.
While speaking on a vlog covering the events of last week’s WWE Monday Night RAW, Maxxine Dupri spoke about advice given to her by Hurricane Helms on calming her nerves before making her way through the curtain.
“I’m feeling extra nervous at the moment if we’re being totally honest. But I always get that way the closer we get and then once my music hits, I will come to life. But until then, I’ve kind of become a shell of a human. This is it, we’re locking in. Hurricane always tells me to take 10 slow deep breaths so that I drain that oxygen in my lungs. So I just, I do that about a hundred times and then by then I’m like, ‘okay, I’m going to survive.'”
Elsewhere in another recent interview, Natalya spoke about Maxxine’s work ethic. You can read more about that here.
