On the November 14th edition of WWE Friday Night SmackDown, The Last Time Is Now tournament to decide who will face off John Cena in his final bout continued, as LA Knight would battle a mystery opponent that would be revealed to be Zack Ryder/Matt Cardona.
While speaking to Bill Apter in a new interview, Cardona spoke about the appearance, noting that it was a cool moment and that the appearance came about in a couple of days.
“Yeah, no, in all seriousness, it was a cool moment being out there. Oh, man. Just one of those things, I stay Alwayz Ready. It came about in a couple of days.”
Cardona would then be asked for more details on how it came together, noting that he would not reveal all the secrets of his return to WWE.
“Well, I’m not going to reveal all the secrets here. I will say this. I had to get Zack Ryder gear made in 24 hours.”
