Triple H reflects on DX invading WCW.

In 1998 on the April 27th edition of WWE Monday Night RAW, DX would roll up to where WCW were filming an episode of Nitro with a Jeep fitted with a cannon, knocking on an outer door in an iconic segment of the Monday Night Wars.

While speaking to Complex on On Display, Triple H spoke about DX’s attempted invasion of WCW.

“Yeah, it’s hard for, I think, people today to understand it. Like, if you go back in time to that time period, us invading WCW was just like an unthinkable moment. Like you didn’t even talk about other things or people that left or that were in other promotions or whatever, (it) wasn’t even brought up. So for us to throw these helmets on and jump on a Jeep with a big cannon on the back and ride over to their show was unthinkable and sort of was a paradigm shift in the business of like, okay, ‘gloves are off, we’re gonna do anything.’ 100% and luckily for us, you know, it could have got hostile. So we had helmets on just in case.”

Earlier this month, Triple H noted that WWE superstars are well suited to do anything in life post WWE. You can read more about that here.
