AJ Lee Writing Movie For Toei Animation

AJ Lee is collaborating with Toei for an upcoming film.

Fans may know Toei Animation for producing series such as Dragon Ball Z, Sailor Moon, One Piece, Digimon, and more.

Now, they’ll welcome WWE superstar AJ Lee into the mix as a writer.

Appearing on What’s Your Story with Stephanie McMahon, AJ revealed that she is writing a movie for Toei.

“I love anime so much. One of my favorite companies growing up was Toei, they did Sailor Moon and Dragon Ball Z, and these things that raised me. We are writing a movie for Toei Animation. I think that’s all I can say. Just such a dream come true to be in their office and see the Dragon Ball Z figures everywhere. ‘Can I move in here?'” she said with a laugh.

Lee and actress Aimee Garcia run Scrappy Heart Productions. They co-wrote the Netflix original movie “Blade of the 47 Ronin” and the graphic novel “Day of the Dead Girl.”

Elsewhere during the interview, Lee and McMahon reflected on tweets sent in 2015 regarding the positioning of women in WWE. You can find the exchange here.
