Andrade Says He Never Signed A Contract With AEW

There has been much discussion regarding Andrade after he returned to AEW weeks after his WWE release. He made one appearance on AEW TV before being pulled due to confusion over his non-compete clause. His WWE contract had a one-year non-compete, which he claims WWE put into play after seeing his AEW return.

Andrade clarified his situation in a recent interview, saying his lawyers are in discussion with WWE lawyers trying to rectify the situation.

On social media, Andrade clarified things further in a reply to Dave Meltzer, saying he never signed a contract with AEW.

“I didn’t sign any contract! Sir, you say it with such certainty, that I signed a contract, when that’s just another one of your lies.

“Do some more research, Sir. I was in negotiations to sign because Mr. Tony Khan and the AEW team were having good discussions, and we came to an excellent agreement.

“I’m especially grateful to TK and AEW in general. Then, I received a non-compete clause after my AEW debut and my first match in Tijuana (The Crash), but I want to clarify that I didn’t know if that was the issue with WWE (honestly, I don’t know the answer to that).

“Lo mejor para usted!!!”

It is unknown when Andrade will return to television.
