Dominik Mysterio Wins The Intercontinental Championship At Survivor Series: WarGames

Dominik Mysterio defeated John Cena and won the Intercontinental Championship at Survivor Series: WarGames.

At Survivor Series: WarGames, John Cena wrestled his 178th and final WWE premium live event match against Dominik Mysterio, where he defended his Intercontinental Championship. Cena won the Intercontinental Title from Mysterio a few weeks back on November 10.

The self-proclaimed Greatest Luchador in the World wrestled in his hometown of San Diego. He was accompanied to the ring by Roxanne Perez and Raquel Rodriguez, who sneakily helped Dominik numerous times behind the referee’s back.

During a hurricanrana spot, Mysterio seemingly injured his shoulder. The referee checked on him, but this turned out to be a ruse as Raquel and Roxanne ganged up on Cena inside the ring and hit him with a Tejana Bomb and Pop Rox, respectively.

Mysterio immediately got up and hit Cena with the 619 in the ring. He went for the cover, but the referee refused to count the pinfall for him. Raquel and Roxanne were sent backstage after this.

Cena did his Five Moves of Doom sequence and held Mysterio in the STF, but Dominik reached the ropes. Cena tried to drag Mysterio to the middle of the ring, but Mysterio unzipped his boots and found a timing to land a 619. He went for a Frog Splash afterward, but Cena kicked out.

The Cenation Leader hit him with an Attitude Adjustment shortly after, but this time, Mysterio kicked out.

A shoulder tackle from Cena accidentally took out the official, and he went for the STF, but the official was down. Finn Balor and JD McDonagh of the Judgement Day interfered and assaulted Cena in the middle of the ring.

Cena recovered and went for a double Attitude Adjustment on both men. Dominik tried to hit Cena with the title, but he countered with an Attitude Adjustment.

Right after, Liv Morgan made a surprise return to the ring. She and Dominik reunited for a second before she hit him. Morgan then latched onto Cena, and everyone was shocked.

This turned out to be a double ruse, and Morgan hit Cena in the groin. Mysterio got up and hit him with a 619, followed by Liv hitting Cena with the title, and then Mysterio closed the match with a Frog Splash.

Dominik Mysterio has regained his Intercontinental Championship from John Cena.

Cena will wrestle his final wrestling match at Saturday Night Main Event on December 13.
