Nick Khan: You Never Hear John Cena Say, ‘I’m Tired.’ That’s GOAT Mentality
John Cena is set to have his retirement match at WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event on December 13th. Cena has often been praised by his peers and fans for his mentality when it comes to work, always going above and beyond in what the company asks.
Speaking to Pat McAfee on the Pat McAfee Show, WWE President Nick Khan commented on Cena’s mentality.
“You talk about people who work their behinds off and never say that they are tired: Cena. You never hear him say, ‘Oh, I’m so tired. I can’t believe I have to do this.’ He just does it. When you talk about the GOAT, that’s GOAT mentality. he deserves everything that he’s earned in his life, and it’s our honor to help see him out,” stated Khan.
Cena will face LA Knight or Gunther in his last match. The two men will meet in the finals of the Last Time Is Now tournament on Friday’s WWE SmackDown.
John Cena competed in his final PLE match at WWE Survivor Series, losing the WWE Intercontinental Championship to Dominik Mysterio.
