Nikki Bella: I Knew We Were In A Difficult Spot On The Card At WWE Survivor Series
At WWE Survivor Series, Nikki Bella challenged Stephanie Vaquer for the WWE Women’s World Championship.
The bout followed John Cena vs. Dominik Mysterio, and was ahead of the men’s WarGames match on the four-match card.
Speaking on the Nikki & Brie Show, Nikki reflected on the bout.
“I knew where we were at on the card. We were in the difficult spot. I knew we weren’t going to have a lot of time, and we had to tell a specific story. For me, the one thing that I was told was, ‘We need super heelish.’ What they realized going into it was, if you didn’t watch the past few weeks, you would have no idea that I was a heel. They were afraid that I might go out and be a babyface. The nice thing is that we had a package before that showed my heel turn. They were like, ‘We need heel Nikki.’ I haven’t been heel Nikki since before I broke my neck and I’m like, ‘Damn, I’m doing all these things in the moment live.’ It’s one thing when you’re doing all the live events and you can change things. This is what I told myself, ‘We’re doing bad bitch energy. At the end of the day, it’s all about confidence and when your music hits, you’re going to go out there and have all that confidence. You’re going to be this person and that’ll get you into that moment. Go as slow as you want doing your walk. You own it,'” said Nikki.
Vaquer was victorious in the match, retaining her WWE Women’s World Title.
After the bout, Nikki said fans have not seen the last of her. You can find her comments here.
