Mercedes Moné Loses ROH Women’s World TV Title To Red Velvet At ROH Final Battle

Moné loses her first title.

The Ring of Honor Women’s World Television Championship was up for grabs at ROH Final Battle. Mercedes Moné put the title on the line against Red Velvet.

The two talents met in a unification match on the three-hour Dynamite/Collision special to determine an undisputed champion, and Moné emerged victorious from that. Moné had won the Interim Women’s World TV Title while the champion Velvet was sidelined due to neck issues and a shoulder dislocation.

At the conclusion of their match at Final Battle, Moné had Velvet trapped in the ‘Statement Maker’ submission. Velvet used her legs to bounce herself off the ropes and into a deep pin on Moné that secured her the win and regained her the ROH Women’s World TV Title.

It is the first title that Moné has lost. She is now down to 12 championships.
