Matt Hardy: Nobody Worked Harder Than John Cena Did, He Truly Is A GOAT

Matt and Jeff Hardy briefly discuss John Cena and how he is the GOAT of professional wrestling in their eyes.

John Cena is in the midst of winding down his in ring wrestling career, with his final match happening next weekend at WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event, where he will face off with Gunther.

While speaking to KVIA ABC-7, The Hardys were asked about previously teaming with Cena, with Matt noting that no one has worked harder than John Cena did.

“I mean… In the modern-day era, I mean, he was on top for so many years, close to 20 years, and he was carrying the business when the business was down. The economy was down, business wasn’t up. It wasn’t like an era where there was a boom, like when Hulk Hogan was on top or when Stone Cold was. But he carried it through, and nobody did more Make-A-Wish. He’s met more Make-A-Wish kids than any other wrestler in history. He has done more promotion for the company and more to help out the industry. So he truly is a GOAT in his own way because he might not get all the credit he deserves because times were different, but he was out there, and nobody, nobody worked harder than John Cena did.”

Jeff would then add his thoughts, noting that he also believes John Cena is the GOAT in the realm of singles stars in wrestling.

“When it comes to the GOAT in the solo dimension of pro wrestling, man, he’s there. That’s him, man.”

Elsewhere in the same interview, the brothers would discuss wrestling in El Paso, Texas. You can read more about that here.
