The second title bout for New Year’s Evil.

TNA X Division Champion Leon Slater, Je’Von Evans, Myles Borne, Dion Lennox, and Joe Hendry made up the field for the 2025 men’s Iron Survivor Challenge match at NXT Deadline.

It was Evans emerging victorious from the bout as he hooked Borne in a cradle pin to break the five-way tie in the final seconds of the match.

With his victory, Evans is set to challenge Oba Femi for the NXT Championship at New Year’s Evil on January 6th, 2026. In the opening match of Deadline, Femi defeated Ricky Saints to regain the NXT Title.

After Evans’ win, Femi came out and stared down his future opponent. Before the men’s Iron Survivor Challenge match, Evans was chatting with Ricky Saints after his title loss.
